Journal of Cultural Insights approaches culture as an ongoing human endeavor to reflect on harmful tendencies, cultivate constructive possibilities, pursue beauty, sustain and critically examine communal life, and respond creatively to changing conditions. The journal welcomes rigorous research and critical perspectives that illuminate cultural meanings, values, expressions, and practices. It values original insight supported by evidence and argument, including work that challenges the assumptions of this founding perspective.
Agreement with that perspective is not a condition of review. Studies of critique, counterexamples, and differences across cultures can be reviewed when the evidence and argument are sufficient.
The journal is not a general outlet for every discipline. Its subject is cultural meaning, value, expression, practice, and change in communal life. Technology, economics, or education is in scope only when it is needed to explain that cultural subject.
These four areas are public discovery tags. They are not journal sections. A manuscript has one primary area and at most two secondary areas.
The initial proposal is Research Article, Conceptual Article, and Critical Perspective. Each type asks for evidence, argument, and a cultural contribution. Word limits and the review model remain an editorial draft.
